Not as good as The Boys, but still pretty good. The characters are an interesting mix, and I do like how they've integrated the universe together with The Boys. It's a shame what happened to Chance Perdomo. I have no idea how they're going to do Season 2 now.

I’m noticing a trend in The Boys Streamematic Universe: just when it seems like the season-long plot is about to pay off in a meaningful way it just leads right back to the status quo and it was all for nothing. Gen V at least has interesting characters in a universe-expanding setting that tries to round-out The Boys hyper-focused narrative. I would watch more of these characters if we get another season.

It’s definitely serving the same ingredients as The Boys, but skipped the 101 course on how to properly implement shock. It’s mainly gross just for the sake of it, and when trying to utilize the gore or sex in any meaningful way, it uses it for self-victimizing porn. As a female, I’m so incredibly done with the whole topic of how bad we “menstruators” have it when the education system has failed men and there’s so many issues men exclusively have to deal with. Gen V advocates cherry-picking.

About as solid a start as The Boys had. Very enjoyable core group of characters, quickly paced (maybe a bit too quick in places), and a lot of potential for intertwining with The Boys going forward. I wasn’t in love with the woods plot line, but the rest of it was pretty captivating.

W4E1P1S1V2M1A1R1. Enjoyed watching it, maybe more than The Boys, but probably because it's a little (a little) more straightforward? Like "X-Men but with gore," rather than "political thriller with supes instead of politicians" (like The Boys)?

Better than expected. The series concept was not something that had me overly eager with anticipation, but they do enough original with it to build interest and entertain. Well cast also.

It's not as sophisticated as The Boys, and is significantly more earnest, both to its benefit and detriment.
