Forever

It was truly disappointing that the show was not picked up for a second season. "Forever" has a likeable cast, great story line and engaging cases. I guess Ioan Gruffudd is really missing the series, as he yet again embarked on a journey as a forensic pathologist in 2018, but unfortunately without any sci-fi elements.

As I am living on my own I enjoy shows that emulate the feeling of family and friends where people have to cope with difficulties that you as a single person are spared from.

I'm a sucker for time travel shows

Forever would be your standard procedural with a sci-fi/fantasy gimmick, if not for the aviary of charm exuded by Gruffudd. The weekly plots were engaging and well-written overall, and the entire cast had a chemistry other shows would be envious off. What is a shame is that the overarching plot that dealt with immortals and their mythology was only ever seeded, and the series was cancelled before delivering a payoff.

The main character was somewhat a relief to me. Series have to be inventive to attract viewers and this main character is all I wanted it to be.

Potentially interesting high-concept premise... weekly crime solving. There's TV in a nutshell for ya.
