I have a wild theory; Mario Lopez as producer (as well as playing David Morales) insisted on AnnaLynne McCord playing Sophie as Elizabeth Berkley played Nomi Malone/Polly Ann Costello in 'Showgirls' (with Lopez of course starring alongside Berkley in 'Saved by the Bell'). As interesting as that theory might be, the film itself is mostly trash.
