Eastbound & Down

I watched this after liking Righteous Gemstones a lot, and I expected to like this. But it's just not funny. Sometimes amusing, rarely laugh-out-loud funny. The "punchlines" are usually a character saying something vulgar, not actually funny. It's mean natured and sad, not a comedy. Maybe it was good a decade ago, but at best it hasn't aged well.

Seen through every season except the last season.

This series is one filled with timely jokes and a character destined to be an arrogant and self centred lead. McBride is tremendous as is the supporting cast who always shines when called upon to back up McBride. Definitely raunchy and not for everyone, this series is the epitome of what I enjoy from a comedy series. The world needs more Kenny Powers

MAKE A SEPARATE WEBSITE FOR TV, OR MINIMALLY BREAK THE SHOW DOWN BY INDIVIDUAL SEASONS - What can I say, I still have a soft spot for juvenile humor. S1 starts off rocky but once it gets rolling it starts to get its wings. S2 is probably the best so far, but suffice to say I'm about halfway through S3 and starting to lose interest. I think that's about how much of Kenny Powers I can withstand.

Wanes as it goes on but its mean spirited star makes for some pretty entertaining scenarios and one liners.
