Vile, moronic garbage. The humor is based entirely on shock value.

The problem with the show is that they take the archetypes of numerous different genres of animation and make practically no jokes related to those archetypes. Everyone is just some drugged up, moronic asshole and the jokes wouldn't be much different had they just been average people. The only character they seem to really even try anything with is the Pikachu rip-off, but even then it's the same generic Pokemon jokes you've heard a thousand times like relating Pokemon battles to cockfighting.

It's pretty bad, but it's honest about what it's trying to be. It's a well executed terrible show.

Drawn Together is a show that starts good, the middle is even better and in the end sorta runs out of steam. The character feature some I like and others that get progressively worse like Clara and Captain Hero. The humor is fine to me, I is on the right place and there are a lot of moments where I thought "Hey, that's sorta depressing". Season 2 has some of my favourite episodes of the show - Clum Babies and especially Drawn Together's Afterschool Special but the third season is pretty meh.

Its jabs at the cartoon world are more hit than miss, and it succeeds in being outrageous and entertaining at the same time. I felt like this show was canned mostly from social pressure to get something this irreverent off the air... wouldn't be the first victim (looking at you Chapelle show). Definitely worth watching, especially with friends.

I enjoyed it at the time but I'm pretty sure outside of being a teenager in the mid-2000's it won't appeal to most people, especially when you line up DT with the Adult Swim roster from the same era. From memory like 75% of the jokes are either scatological or how much of a disgusting whore the Betty Boop analog character is. Also of minor interest to people of a certain age familiar with the LA comedy + podcast ecosystem, this is the last thing Adam Carolla did before becoming unhinged.

Really, really awful.
