Man oh man, this crap was like catnip to white girls in the late '90s. I'm pretty sure every WB/CW teen soap opera that followed used this as a template, so... success?

The first season is decent for a teen drama, but it gets exponentially worse from there.

Think about it. EVERY single character is EXTREMELY annoying. Quite a task, actually. Respect for that.

The ultimate white girl 90's drama fest. It's so over the top angsty that its painful. I don't wanna wait, for our lives to be over either... *kills self*

I won't apologize for watching a show in which Joshua Jackson banged his hot teacher (was she even actually hot? I honestly can't remember).

A white, middle-class wet-dream of a teen soap, irked me but I knew quite a lot of girls who loved it.

It's not a bad series per se, unfortunately the drama quickly ends in typical teen girl logic -> make everything more complicated than it is and break up with people for no reason at all and then be mad about it. Except for Dawson, Joey and Percy, all the other roles feel forced in. Also the strangest thing is that the oldest cast member Meredith Monroe as Andie is the only one who really comes across as a teenager and at the time she was already 28+ and by the way Michelle Williams can't act.

Typical schmaltzy Barbie doll vanilla suburban TV of the era. Very elitist upper middle class emo teen problems that are unrelatable if you ever had to work for a living. The big difference between this and Buffy was Buffy had a real job, with real consequences and dealt with a lot of death and high stakes…in both senses of the word…but still managed to find humor in the situation. This is just like Buffy, if you take all those elements out. Some good actors, though.

Nauseating, angsty garbage. When I think the bottom of the barrel teenage dramas, this is what immediately comes to mind.

Not gonna lie: I watched the whole thing. Man, is it cheesy and bad at points (seasons 5 and 6, post-high school, are actively awful), but season 3, when Greg Berlanti was running the show before he left to create Everwood (and later Arrow and The Flash) was actually kinda charming. Joshua Jackson outshines his more-future-famous costars as Pacey. Dawson is a whiny and annoying asshole.

Just about as intolerable as Michelle Williams is great (not in this, obviously).
