A consistently good episode with a great performance from the killer. I think Columbo took a more passive role in this episode.

One of the more Sherlockian episodes but lacks standout moments expect the conclusion.

One of Columbo's best conclusions ever. Doh, Ross Martin did it?? Who knew???

An above-average Columbo, and finally some fight put up by the perpetrator in the end, rather than simply giving in as usual. Ross Martin played the murderer quite well.

Top notch Columbo! Hands down the best in the first season. Kingston (expertly played by Ross Martin) is more a criminal mastermind than you'd ever expect from an art critic, and Columbo's ruses to expose him are diabolical... it's a battle of giants.
