With the Poe references, great chemistry between the actors, and a nice plot; this one is pretty good. I really like the idea of your unique capacities and your passion being your own downfall; that was played really well also.

Donald Pleasance is superb as perhaps the perfect Columbo villain, an arrogant but oddly likeable aesthete who murders his brother because he wants to keep making great wine that loses money. Julie Harris does commendably subtle work under the circumstances as the woman who well why don't you just watch it, Charlie? Sure the story's kinda ridiculous but YOU try coming up with an awesome double title like that and working backwards. And then backwards again, because this is Columbo country, baby.

One of my favorite ones. Donald Pleasence is an amazing actor to say the least, and the text is great.

This episode is carried by the killers performance. Columbo and the viewer can respect the passion of Mr. Casrsini. The actual case was a little weak, though. We didn't get much Columbo.

A classic Columbo--Falk and Pleasence have a very interesting relationship in this one and it's great to watch them play off each other. The only weak point is the plot is pretty illogical and convoluted, even for a Columbo episode. Still, a lot of fun to watch.
