One year after the events of the season 1 finale, Lelouch returns to Ashford Academy, having no memory of his time as Zero, his Geass power, or his sister Nunnally. The Black Knights were defeated in the Battle of Tokyo, and all but a few of them have been captured or killed. The remaining Black Knights, along with C.C., find Lelouch and help him regain his memory. Afterwards, Lelouch resumes the role of Zero while attempting to hide the fact that his memories have returned. (imdb)

Somehow this season is even dumber and exasperates the issues of the last season. The battles have become lazier since they're not even pretending to use strategy anymore. The presentation and way things are framed is also more over the top, which makes its bombastic nature even more funny. Damn impressive that a series this fucking stupid can receive so much praise, but here we are. Though I'll admit, I did enjoy this for all the wrong reasons. The plot twists in this show are amusingly absurd.
