Cloaca

An interesting and occasionally amusing dialogue heavy stage adaptation. The characters aren't really sympathetic to me, which undermines some of what its trying to do, but its still compelling enough to watch.

Great acting and writing, but because it's a stage play adaptation the cinematic qualities like directing and cinematography take second stage. (3rd viewing)

Very effective drama with some decent-to-great leads. When it looks like everyone's problems might be resolved in the third act during the same night, the movie thankfully chooses to avoid the beaten path. Best Dutch production I've seen in a while.
