Call Me Crazy: A Five Film

Well intentioned and heartfelt, but far too skimpy and superficial look at a dizzying array of mental illnesses – the short film format ultimately defeats the purpose and message, with each story given a sometimes hilariously brief and abrupt “solution” for the patient, ultimately appearing as if it lacks any insight (or apparent empathy) for the true emotional toll that mental illness inflicts. Made watchable by a fine array of acting talent, with Vassilieva’s segment working the best.
