In a world where astronauts have perfect artificial bodies back on Earth that they can transfer their consciousness into and out of at a moment's notice, why would the artificial bodies not be the ones sent into space? It makes absolutely no sense to do it the other way around. I also don't think I really buy hippies wanting to kill "robot people." The hippies would probably just think the robots are cool and try to get them high

I loved the basic premise here, but I think they explored the wrong direction by focusing the drama on the physical safety aboard the spaceship after the inciting incident, rather than on the more nuanced and interesting idea of the internal conflict that Mara's character felt.

Perhaps doesn't entirely live up to the intriguing premise but still a pretty neat episode though I might be overrating it because it stands out in a not particularly impressive sixth season.

Measured pacing helps the atmosphere but there’s not enough here for this to be almost feature-length. The most ‘Black-Mirror-feeling’ episode of the series, with decent leads but little for them, a premise that feels strangely familiar and a pretty thin and predictable plot. The ‘twist’ finale in this episode is purely for shock value, and makes no sense whatsoever within the confines of the world and characters established.

This started off so strong but ended in the toilet, what a letdown.

Intriguing premise might carry a higher novelty value if you’ve never seen any dystopian sci-fi from say the last 50 years; shout out to JSchlansky but there is indeed no reason why the artificial versions of these characters would need to remain on Earth, except to help bolster a far too manufactured and contrived scenario – the best moments are the quietly confronting ones between Mara and Paul, and Culkin proving as good a candidate as star of a Manson movie as anyone.

A slow-burn that's a little longer than it needs to be. That ending made it. Classic Black Mirror depression.

Great ending but saw it coming a mile away, also this is going to be mean but Aaron Paul doesn't have the goods outside of the BB universe.

The ideas contain nothing new, the drama is confected and unconvincing, and Josh Hartnett makes for a distinctly underwhelming David Ross (which was actually my father’s name, and, by the way, there’s every chance he would have tried to seduce Kata Mara).
