Even as a fan who saw him in the flesh this was a bit of a slog to get through. Addresses all the big moments in his career and confirms what a selfish moron Posh is, while forging unnecessary dramatic ‘narratives’ and avoiding asking a single illuminating question (like why’s the Indian bloke from Short Circuit 2 interviewing him?). Personally a bit miffed he doesn’t once credit the United fans who supported him all the way after France ‘98 either. Bland and inoffensive, just like the Beckhams.

Very well story telling. Even though I knew 90% of the things they mentioned, it was very gripping and entertaining(especially with Gary Neville's attendance). Obviously, it's a little over-dramatised, but what is not on Netflix?

Could've gone a lot deeper, and frankly doesn't add much context to widely reported stories from the time. It was a bit shocking being reminded of the sheer extent of the hatred towards him after the 98 world cup though. Madness that.

Very well compiled documentary. I was hoping for more critique on his recent efforts in Qatar, but it's definitely not just a polished buff doc.

I'd very much like to blindly hate on the privileged elites (as the lynchmob crowds depicted in the docu), but goshdarnit does this series make it hard. I didn't know Becks came from such humble beginnings. He earned his place with indisputable talent. He put in the hours. And what I very much appreciate about this docu, is the advocation of healthy partnership dynamics. I had no idea Victoria was as smart and introspective as was revealed. A good watch for people who hate celebrity culture.
