Avenger

The only thing that saves this from utter bathos is that it--mercifully--doesn't take itself too seriously. So, though I tend to hate such crap, it was actually sort of fun to watch Sam Elliott blow shit up. Timothy Hutton is looking mighty fine here, I must say. As Zoran Žili?, the paramilitary leader, David Hayman sports a fake Serbian accent that is--presumably inadvertently--so overdone as to be hilarious. In honor of those Serbs, I decided to give it the same score as "A Serbian Movie".
