Almost Human

While buddy cop procedurals are a dime-a-dozen, Almost Human adds enough "tech sci-fi" to keep it interesting. Coupled with great chemistry between Ealy and Urban, the show was enjoyable. Unfortunately it got cancelled before delving into more interesting story arcs.

Real disappointed that this got cancelled. Some great chemistry between Urban and Ealy, and a lot of great plotlines they could have explored. Really didn't have a chance to grow into it's own, and I don't know whether to blame Fox or the American viewing public.

Karl Urban is awesome, and Minka Kelly is gorgeous. Also, this show had a lot of fun sci-fi elements. It just needed more focus and some momentum, instead of endless case-of-the-week episodes. Overall, I enjoyed it a lot in spite of its flaws.

It was a fairly basic but fun sci-fi idea. I think the show had the potential to get better, but it was canned before they could do much with it.

Cool concept that was destroyed by the lack of originality that follows most procedural shows. Narratives work when flowing towards an overall goal, not creating a plot that's structure can manipulated to make between 13 and 22 hours of television per year.

Just a typical boring cop drama, except it's set in the future with androids. Completely pointless setting it there, and would be completely pointless even making it without setting it there. Loses even more points for glorifying police brutality.

It got canceled because it needed to do so. The overall it was near to boring.

This show could have been something interesting. Instead, we get one season of your average procedural drama and a bunch of loose ends that will never be resolved. Too bad.

This had so much potential, and then faltered single-handedly to FOX's shitty and illogical ideas about how to air a TV program...

Good start, I thought. Nice chemistry between Urban and Ealy and a not-bad Blade Runner-esque look to things. Sadly, it got canceled before it got a chance to get out of cases of the week and get into more arc stories. Fox airing it all out of order didn't help (see Firefly and Enlisted for other examples of this seemingly Fox-exclusive phenomenon).

Basically, your run-of-the-mill cop procedural - only it's set 30 years in the future, barely making use of its foreign environment.
