Akagi

Akagi sure is a compelling protagonist, a complete psycho taking the gambler's mentality to a destructive, nihilistic extreme. But whereas frequent point of comparison One Outs awakened in me an interest in baseball that I didn't have, here I found Mahjong and its byzantine rules an obstacle to my enjoyment. While the direction and overbearing narration does a good job helping a beginner follow the games, I'd be hesitant to recommend this to anyone without a preexisting interest in Mahjong.
