A Man in Full

Tantrums, theatrics, Succession wannabe dialog that induces embarrassment, all on 110% and never funny or interesting.

Entertaining enough, but absolutely misses the mark somehow. I think it's the fault of the writing, as the cast is quite good for the most part, especially Diane Lane--and it's always fun to watch Jeff Daniels. The novel is biting satire, yet most of the time it doesn't feel like satire at all (though the final shot is pretty funny). And whoever is guilty of deciding on the music--it's TERRIBLE. There's way too much of it, and it ends up vitiating the impact of almost every scene.
