"Probably the weakest story of the three, and most of the supporting characters from the first two being relegated to cameos or outright cut is a bit of a bummer. It’s still a lot of fun though, and might have the best humor so far. The chemistry between the leads is the main reason why it works so well, as they really help compensate for the plot. Overall, I’m just glad Disney agreed to not only greenlight this, but allow it to keep its edge."

"As a sequel to Searching, it’s mostly more of the same. This works for the most part despite not being quite as fresh, although the plot twists in the third act get pretty goofy by the time we reach the last one."

"Alfonso Cuarón and an excellent cast are already reason enough to check it out. I’ve always liked stories like these, and while the motivations of Kline’s character get pretty suspect towards the end, I still found it incredibly engaging. My main criticisms would be how much time is spent it spent in the past (specifically the sex scenes, which drag), and how contrived the accident is. The “you’re cancelled” scene is also pretty cartoonish. Still, I really enjoyed most of it."
65 55% Scarface (1983) - Rated 07 Nov 2024
"Fits into the category of films I appreciated more than enjoyed. Pacino is great, the ending is iconic, and there are some really nice shots here and there (although some of the driving scenes look identical to an 80s sitcom). It’s a bit long, and the story/characters didn’t do much for me, but I can see why it has attained classic status."
65 55% Don't Move (2024) - Rated 06 Nov 2024
"Interesting premise. It doesn’t do anything to stand out from the sub-genre, but it’s a decent watch despite the clichés/tropes."
