"It's nice to see a movie where no-rambo-type old man resolves some local issue, while maintaining calm but straight atmosphere and brutal reality that exists in some parts (this time in UK). I liked Sir Michael Caine as much as Alfred in Batman as here as almost "paralytic" retired guy who seeks vengeance. In all his movies beside these mentioned above, he always shows professionalism and although this production doesn't reach any significant point in cinematography, it keeps very good level."
69 68% The Conjuring (2013) - Rated 26 Dec 2013
"It's hard to say if it's decent or not, part of it is great some part is average...but it still gives pretty nice score in my opinion. Starts and goes much like a mainstream but somehow keeps good acting and a tense atmosphere for novadays horror production. I give it strong 69, Farmiga plays good as always, the others play well enough. Although most of the plot has already been filmed different ways - it is kind of refreshing. I can recommend it for evening session with clear conscience."
62 56% The Avengers (2012) - Rated 14 Oct 2013
"At first you may feel like inside of a really messy theater's stockroom where nobody sorts tapes and plays various, colorful comic adaptations. Although it's nice to see all these characters together and effects' execution is on a very satisfying level...c'mon I still can't get rid of a feeling there's too much plastic in recent productions, not enough blending to make it feel right...Hulk though is the best so far of modern productions, even better than famous Norton role."

"Maybe I was never a fan of CA, and will never be... Storyline and movie execution is on a very good level but CA itself is something average by default for me."
60 47% The Dark Knight Rises (2012) - Rated 14 Oct 2013
"Nice for another Batman movie, good for Bale role play, some pretty fancy special effects...beside that way too long and overrated. Average...just average."
66 64% Eden Lake (2008) - Rated 25 Aug 2013
"First of all, don't expect too much - then you'll get pretty good impression. It is definitely not meant for people thrilled by single stabbing or some blood on screen - it's violent, I mean violent-violent. And Jack O'Connell...I saw this guy in Skins series S03&S04 and he already shows skills there, here only confirms that even swearing and brutality needs some skills to be played properly. The rest - well, pretty average, bloody and tense 'chase in the woods' style. If you have nerves-go ahead."
26 10% Dungeons & Dragons: The Book of Vile Darkness (2012) - Rated 24 Aug 2013
"What the heck it was? I don't know. A movie, well technically yes. Role play, well it was fun to see how these people overplay their roles which not even suit them. You need to have either a high dose of patience or be on some drugs to finish this 'production'. 20 points for naked women and some nice special effects (I liked the dragon and little undead girl). 6 points for at least willing to do something from D&D. The rest unfortunately sucks it to the bone and is a total waste of time..."
70 71% Flight (2012) - Rated 22 Aug 2013
"Zemeckis made already few "gems" along the way. "Flight" is maybe not a precious stone in his career but deserves attention as a complete hybrid of Hollywood-like roleplay and a good drama. Of course there's a lot of things to pick on, as well as many to enjoy. Starting like an action movie, followed by some half-comed0y plot, finishing as a drama - "Flight" is a pretty solid contender to be a good choice to fill up melancholic evening for two."
66 64% Argo (2012) - Rated 20 Aug 2013
"I don't really like Ben Affleck personally as an actor and this movie makes not much difference in terms of roleplay. From director's side although, he gained more of my respect, because movie itself is pretty good, short enough to fit the story in, long enough to not become a parody of serious action which Argo definitely was."
61 50% Sinister (2012) - Rated 12 Aug 2013
"I was hoping for a good story and atmospheric piece, which is currently not really common thing to achieve. Although it starts pretty standard, it grows in tension a bit and is pretty enjoyable half-way. To avoid spoiling, just want to say children-characters here are the worst choices and they ruin whole feeling that is built over first 50 mins. Then it goes like a great race with Shelby GT on smooth mountain curvy road...disturbed by speedbump on every damn road bend. Could've been better."
