"About half of a good film, making it the best entry in the series since the original (though only the third or fourth most entertaining to watch). Them getting in the habit of making the victims the villains and now casting Jigsaw as some sort of misguidedly sadistic Hell Girl is odd considering how unwatchably gross the thankfully short trap sections are, but I suppose you can't do the -exact- same routine that many times in a row."

"The lead character's framing as a child of privilege was wildly unnecessary -- what did the voiceover at the end of the film add? Why introduce characters with a different perspective from the main cast only to have them shrug and exit the film forever after a couple of worthless scenes? Jeremias Amoore puts in an all-time bad performance that the poor editing team scrambles all over the place to save. Also subtracting 4 points for the highly unnecessary and improbable teddy bear murder."
