10 7% The Twilight Saga: New Moon The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009) - Rated 23 Jan 2010
"Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. You'd assume after the commercial success of "Twilight" that it's first sequel would be bigger, better, and at the very least an averagely entertaining film. You'd be wrong. "New Moon" has all of the same issues as "Twilight", only to a much more severe degree. Kristen Stewart's performance is so bad it's embarrassing to watch, and the rest of the cast do no better. The only reason I give this a 10 is because a Thom Yorke song is featured in it. Great song, too."
100 99% Blade Runner Blade Runner (1982) - Rated 18 Jan 2010
"Blade Runner has everything you could want out of the science fiction genre. A well-crafted setting, a likable yet imperfect protagonist, a villain you can both fear and feel for, and a plot full of subtle nuances that will keep you thinking long after your first viewing. Top all of that off with an incredible score and brilliant film noir inspired art direction, and you've got a truly remarkable film."
100 99% The Good, the Bad and the Ugly The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966) - Rated 08 Feb 2010
"The very definition of the word "epic". Quick, witty, tense, beautiful, captivating, with incredible cinematography and acting. I feel the need to devote a rather large portion of this review to Morricone's score, which is perhaps the best score of all time. It fits every scene so perfectly, with it's unusual instrumentation and approach, making every moment that much more special. An utter, absolute masterpiece that I am thoroughly excited to watch again."
100 99% 2001: A Space Odyssey 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) - Rated 21 Jan 2010
"A true marvel of a film, unlike any other cinematic experience. Exceptionally beautiful and perfectly scored, with an incredibly intriguing and intelligent screenplay. It tells it's epic tale with such superb sutblety, in a remarkably unconventional way. The film has very little dialogue, creating an intense, haunting atmosphere, and making every spoken word vitally important. This is a film that will forever astound, surprise and bewilder you. Unforgettable and utterly brilliant."
