"My oldest got the book from the library. I started reading from the middle, then asked, "It's a joke, right?" It read exactly like a parody.
When the movie showed up in our local cinema's $1 summer kids' matinees, my youngest dragged me to see it. I braced myself to endure. About half an hour in before she whispered, "Can we leave?"
