"A tour de force. Fernanda Torres delivers one of the best performances I have ever seen. Sublime."

30 0% | Megalopolis (2024) - Rated 02 Nov 2024
"Every scene looks like a perfume ad. Immature, explains itself too much, pretentious, self absorbed with its own metaphors. The ideas are good but the execution is catastrophic. No subtlety at all. Seems like Coppola wanted to put his mind on the screen, not giving a fuck about anything else."

10 0% | The Substance (2024) - Rated 26 Sep 2024
"Extremely sexist in the sense that it puts women as the actors of sexism. It doesn't make men the clear cause of the substance, and even has male characters using it, as if the pressures on both were the same. So pretty women don't have to face any sexism? A lot of gratuitous nudity and close up scenes of Margaret's ass. Oh, and the film is also ageist as it showcases the aged body as disgusting and horrific. We were better off with Death Becomes Her."

57 6% | Widow Clicquot (2023) - Rated 08 Sep 2024
"A movie about a forward-thinking woman, ahead of her time, who spends the entire movie... thinking about men."

88 65% | Kinds of Kindness (2024) - Rated 26 Aug 2024
"A dissertation on power and the human tendency to become a willing tool for exploitation on 1 - work, 2 - relationships and 3 - religion. Master/Slave, Submissive/Dominant dynamics in those 3 fields. Some of the gore is indeed gratuitous, but I was in for it. A deeply psychoanalytic film, probably why I loved it."
