Bio: Enjoy movies without feeling the need to watch something because it's good. Am very aware of the distinction between films that are recognised as good but you rarely watch and films that are both good and recognised as excellent. Also sincerely believe that not only are films getting better over time but we are getting more good films over time, which means two equally rated films from recently and classically...go for the new film first. Also have a nasty habit of rewatching what I know is good instead of risking watching something that, objectively, I should find brilliant...

"Fun and forgettable. Not a surfeit of laugh out loud gags, and too many plotlines that resolve all too cleanly. Exists solely as a serviceable sequel that doesn't detract from but also doesn't add to the universe of the original. Nice amount of practical effects but with an obviously higher budget which sacrifices the rough charm of the original. Has some darker moments but without the bravery to lean into them or the genuine anarchic undertones. Can live with and without it."
