"disappointing. i was hoping gareth edwards would do something different and the trailers hinted at that unfortunately the full thing was fairly by the numbers. theres some amazing scenes, brief flashes of the (or what i presume) film edwards would have liked to make. sound effects are great. monster designs too. last third is good. nearly everything else is pretty bland."
