96 98% | Network (1976) - Rated 25 Aug 2009
"Smart, gripping, and surprisingly hilarious, Network has what it takes to pull in any audience and keep them engaged. It has far and away the best writing of any movie, period; monologue after monologue is beautifully delivered with utter perfection, complemented with natural and witty dialogue between the characters. Though the cinematography leaves something to be desired, it - along with the intentional lack of music - adds depth and realism to the story and enhances the movies credibility."

67 59% | 25th Hour (2002) - Rated 23 Aug 2009
"A character study of a man who is about to go to jail for dealing drugs. This movie missed its mark for me. Norton's performance is wonderful; his character feels complete despite being hollow, due to the natural dialog and his delivery of it. The rest, however, are empty despite the film maker's best efforts. Hoffman, for example, plays an awkward, reserved school teacher with an unrelated crush on one of his students; scenes with the girl feel distracting, like they don't belong in this film."

10 1% | The Anarchist Cookbook (2002) - Rated 20 Aug 2009
"The first movie that I could simply not watch all the way until the end. This movie is depressingly boring; there is no plot, no imaginative characters or character development, and the premise is terrible. It tries to be reminiscent of SLC Punk, but fails miserably. This movie is the strongest deterrent of anarchism that comes to my mind. Stay away."

40 23% | Shrek the Third (2007) - Rated 20 Aug 2009
"A decent movie for the family, though this movie unfortunately does not live up to the charm of the other two. As with most "threequels", Shrek 3 lacks an appealing storyline, dealing with the dreaded child/parent issue that is unappealing to audiences of almost every age group. The only ones who could relate to this movie are new parents and parents-to-be. Recommended for them and for small children; for everyone else, its pretty much a bust."
