"They Live's brevity is both its greatest strength and its biggest weakness. This movie leaves you with the wish that more of the 'occupiers' back story along with how the TV station came into being along with the people who run it. So much could have been expanded on and yet some scenes - such as the backstreet fight which leads into the second act - totally outstay their welcome. For all of its flaws though, it's a well shot and thought out story that should have stuck around for longer."
