"It's hard to suspend disbelief when watching a different actress play Clarice. I liked Oldman's character a lot more. Some of the police scenes seemed contrived and there were a couple of directorial choices that I felt were there to shove the creepiness down your throat rather than let you appreciate the disturbing nature of the story on its own."

25 5% | Lake Placid: The Final Chapter (2012) - Rated 07 Jan 2014
"This is an awful movie, but it's the kind of garbage that's hard to turn off. The characters are all idiots, including the ones we're supposed to think are smart. It felt like the writers had no idea how young people really talk these days, so they just made the girls really catty and the guys say "bro" a lot. It was kind of interesting to see Robert Englund in it."

"I really wanted to like this. There are some parts that are really good, but then a lot of it just fell flat for me. I liked a lot of the monster effects, some of the lines were pretty humorous, and the soy sauce premise was interesting, but I thought the film went on too many tangents and didn't have much payoff."

"Definitely one of the weaker Romero films. I wasn't a big fan of the quasi-futuristic setting for the film. I may have liked it more if the film developed the dystopian society more rather than just have it be a shallow tool for creating an evil rich guy to be the main villain."

"If you're like me and just enjoy watching horror movies for the heck of it, go ahead and check it out. Personally, I find even bad horror films at least entertaining. That said, this could have been a lot better, and I'm a much bigger fan of the original."
