A lot of fun to watch. One of my favorite early Hitchcock films.

A little too over the top...

Drowning by Numbers (1988) - Rated 07 Mar 2012
maybe its because I don't believe anything can standup to Greenaway's The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover, but I found DbN to be flat in terms of its story. Beautiful imagery and setting as usual, though. maybe I'll have to give it another try.

The Artist (2011) - Rated 13 Feb 2012
I feel that even those who normally find silent films to be boring would very much enjoy The Artist. A charming film with wonderful acting and cinematography. A beautiful homage to a genre that brought film where it is now.

My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done (2009) - Rated 25 Jan 2012
While the movie is visually wonderful, I felt like it was a bit scatterbrained with the character development and was hoping for a bit brighter of a performance from just about every actor.

Walker (1987) - Rated 25 Jan 2012
Cox's historical film tales some anachronistic liberties in all the right ways. He can still make the most macabre of settings seems humurous at times.

2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) - Rated 20 Jan 2012
A piece of genius. Very few movies have had the effect on me that 2001 has. The subject matter, the camera work, the setting, its all wonderful. Kubrick brought me into the world of filmmaking with this movie like no other director had done so.

Drag Me to Hell (2009) - Rated 20 Jan 2012
More great horror fun from Raimi. A throwback to his Evil Dead days, and a lot of fun because of that.
