"This series is an obvious money-grab, but I'm entertained enough to keep renting from the Redbox. I did not find it boring and I liked how one of the characters seemed to not be hopelessly helpless for once. By now I am used to the formula so they do not much frighten me though. My only gripe is that it did not reveal more about the covenant. Also, The Shining homeage!"

"Horrid for a film that I thought was going to take the "found footage" trend into something cool and interesting. The story doesn't even try to make sense, it's guessable, and the supernatural entities could use a makeup professional -- or to go back to Norway because their band misses them. Just because you can roll low-budget films out with numerous sequels doesn't mean you should."
