Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2024) - Rated 25 May 2024
"A direct to Blu Ray sort of prequel. Lacks the dusty practical effects and gravitas of Fury Road. The music is missing entirely in some of the movie's most promising scenes. Yet this is a movie well worth seeing and supporting, Hemsworth and Anya have their moments and the movie goes kaboom in its third act. Not the high octane crescendo that Fury Road was but has a little more story to tell, a few more mythology analogies, more depth in acting. I would like to see one more of these."

""Velma" represents unadulterated misunderstanding and hatred towards animation, adult animation, coherent storytelling and Scooby Doo. The art style is great but that's the only good thing about it. Mindy Kaling's anger and frustration drips through the show, the political correctness and non stop pointing to who's black or white, the over the top of the top meta aspects and the lack of actual stories with or without mysteries, ghosts and monsters, makes this the first real train wreck of 2023."

"As an apologist of DC movies, I find this movie appalling. Terrible looking CGI aside, this is a sequel to the Josstice League as it is plagued by infantile & crude jokes. James Gunn has completely massacred this title and his hatred and lack of understanding for these characters is evident - e.g., Aquaman and The Flash himself who's neither the DCEU, nor the comic Flash. Too many bad jokes, too little of Flashpoint Paradox, too little closure to DCEU, looks like a mobile game, gross cameofest."
