"Indiana Jones, but old and with aliens. That pretty much says it all. As films go it's alright, if a bit wank. As Indiana Jones films go, it's a horrendous let down. It could have been so much more. It could have been GOOD. Ford was good, Blanchett was ordinary but that was more the character than the actress. The action sequences were great but not good enough to carry the movie. Message to George Lucas: if you can't think of new movie ideas, please, whatever you do, don't make any films."

"Average. As an action movie, it's ok. As a sci-fi movie, it's alright. Good special effects, but special effects don't make a movie great. If the storyline had been fleshed out a bit more, and Hayden Christensen replaced with, I dunno, an actor, it could have been pretty good. You know it's an average film when even Samuel Jackson is average."

"Epic fail. There's no sex, and barely any city. Perhaps if I'd watched the series, I'd have found it as amazing as everyone else did - but I didn't and so it flopped. Seriously, it even failed as a romantic comedy. Hell, it even failed as a romance. It nearly failed as a film, in fact - no, wait, it did. Over-hyped nothingness."

"Awesome movie. Great effects, great storyline, great action. It's really two stories in one - you get Robert Downey Jnr being the smartarse billionaire playboy, and then you get the Good vs Evil comic book. And it's actually hard to tell which is better.... but the comc book story wins. All in all, one of the better movies of 2008, and one that took me by surprise."

"It just had no.... point. First movie was good - it was fun, engaging and had the nostalgic feel of "hey I remember reading this when I was a kid". This one is just... meh. Honestly, completely failed to grab me in any way. Great scenery, effects etc... but no, nothing to draw you in. Oh, and token, pointless ill-attempted romance = epic fail."
