"The subject matter is interesting, the movie, not so much. It's just a dreamy listing of crime, death, and insanity in small-town Wisconsin. There's no real structure here, and the confused clips from the modern inhabitants of Black River Falls muddy things up. I hadn't heard of the book before though, this material presented in book form would probably be better."

"The highly entertaining voice acting of the English dub makes this the best of the worst shark attack movies. Loved the grill master, the odd jet-ski racing subplot, and the way that they kept saying "mega-low-doun." Normally I have little use for monster movies with such a relatively low body count, but - much like my beloved Bio-Zombie - even many of the vanilla scenes are fun."
