"Only second to Before Midnight, Before Sunset stays with you long after having viewed the film. The reunion of the characters is enjoyable to watch, no matter how many times I sit down to watch it.
The running time is quite short, but I think to the overall benefit of the film."

"Quite a quiet film, surprisingly (and I mean that in the best way possible). Before Sunset does the first stage of a romantic relationship, and does it right.
I still feel as if I'm right there with the characters in the locales they visit, and in the conversations that they have with one another. In its simplicity there is a lot to enjoy, learn, and appreciate."

"A modern classic for me. This is my best rated film in the trilogy, largely because it reflects the reality of long term relationships in how they are dynamics that must be constantly worked on and assessed.
As someone who has been in his own relationship for 7 years now, and married for almost 4, I connected a lot with the seemingly petty issues Hawke and Delpy exchange in with one another.
The strength of a relationship something that is to be worked at constantly, something this film"

93 70% | Boyhood (2014) - Rated 04 Aug 2014
"One of the better films that I have ever seen, this is a masterpiece from Linklater. I enjoyed the focus on "everyday" scenes in the life of a boy and his family, and his growth throughout his young life reminded me of my own years.
Perhaps the only issue I have is some rather forced character development put into the tail end of the film. It greatly hampered the experience for me. When everything was subtle and handled with a delicate touch, this development seemed to shed that tendency."

"My top superhero film of the summer. I was worried at the number of characters that were being placed in this film, but Singer managed everything incredibly well. The plot is filled with many twists and turns, and one character in particular serves as quite the highlight early into the film. Much of my enjoyment comes from the fact that I have grown up with many of these characters, and in many ways, this is a kind of culminating act for the franchise that will usher in an entirely new dynam"

"I found this film to be a bore, largely because I could never fully immerse myself into the world or its rules/laws.
I cannot say for certain what prohibits me from appreciating this work, but I would say much of it stems from the convoluted and tired plot, that (honestly) put me to sleep the first time I saw this in theaters.
For highlights, I find the presentation values and aesthetics quite well done. This is a film that had a lot of resources put into it, but alas, not to my enjoyment"

97 83% | Harakiri (1962) - Rated 04 Aug 2014
"A film that surprised me because I went into this with no expectations at all. I would largely recommend others do the same, though the desire to read a synopsis may be strong.
This has some of my favorite cinematography I have ever seen in any movie. Every actor does their job and does it quite well, and it has an opening and ending that is unforgettable (for me at least)."

"Perhaps my most praised film also happens to be one of the earliest ever made. The focus on the facial expressions of the actors was a smart choice by Dreyer, and the film definitely holds up a century later because of this.
Watched with the Voices of Light soundtrack only makes the film better, in my honest opinion, though you should give it a whirl in complete silence at least once (along with other provided scores).
No film is perfect in my book, but this may as well be for me."

85 40% | Iron Man 3 (2013) - Rated 04 Aug 2014
"A noticeable improvement from its predecessor, this film largely gets major kudos from me because it feels distinctly unique (probably because of Shane Black directing).
I was a fan of the noted "character change" that sent much of the fan community into an uproar, and I thought it was quite comedic as well.
This actually has one of my more favorite climax battle scenes, and I also saw Downey tread new ground with his Tony Stark persona."

70 23% | Iron Man 2 (2010) - Rated 04 Aug 2014
"Nowhere near the brilliance of the first, this was a serviceable sequel that helped expand the MCU. A byproduct of "growing pains" the overall film does suffer in effect.
The villains are largely forgettable here too, though Sam Rockwell does give a decently entertaining performance.
Downey is again a savior of this film, and helped keep me interested in finishing the plot to the very end. Even if that ending is another generic action sequence with a "been there, down that" kind of feel."
