88 54% | Dinotopia (2002) - Rated 08 Sep 2009
"An entertaining miniseries, lots of fun, with some surprising depth. Maybe not the best actors ever or Hollywood-level special effects, but I really could have cared less. Being transported to this land of supposed harmony and dinosaurs (some of whom are librarians!) is more than enough for me."

"Sooo cute!"

90 64% | Confessions of a Shopaholic (2009) - Rated 23 Mar 2009
"Such a delight! I loved it! :-) Great adaptation of a book that would, I thought, be quite a challenge to make into a movie. Ilsa Fisher portrays Becky with perfection and Hugh Dancy makes a swoon-worthy, charming and thoughtful Luke Brandon."

70 14% | Twilight (2008) - Rated 23 Mar 2009
"This movie was highly entertaining, though NOT because it is a great movie. Rather, I was so amused with how they adapted it from the book that I found myself laughing most of the way through. Still, it had its good moments and I felt it captured the "feel" of the book pretty well. I think more careful editing, attention to the special effects, and more even character portrayal would have helped."

"Totally cute, sweet and hilarious!"

93 75% | Mrs. Palfrey at the Claremont (2005) - Rated 27 Aug 2008
"A very sweet, delightful film. The ending was a bit weak-and-predictable, but the concept for the film is just so touching and the friendship between Ludovic and Mrs P is truly a gem of humanity!"

70 14% | Hancock (2008) - Rated 20 Aug 2008
"Though still mildly entertaining, this film was a disappointment. It seemed unsure of whether it was a comedy or drama, switching midway and not being very convincing at either. Strong actors and interesting premise could not save the lackluster screenplay."

85 45% | House of Flying Daggers (2004) - Rated 20 Aug 2008
"Beautiful film, focus is more on love story than fighting (though there is a fair amount of that) -- includes some intriguge, too. However, loses points for a lame ending that falls into cliche and fails to tie up all the loose ends of the story."
