"Probably the best MCU edition of a Spiderman movie. A human motivation for the villian, Spidey feels human but has enough MCU cache where he fits in well with the MCU characters whilst feeling like the Spidey we know. What am I saying? Basically Marvel doesn't overdo it and manages a fine line between giving the character space to breathe and moments to happen while still keeping a good pace of action scenes."

"Another reason for why real stunts and good direction can make an action movie a pleasure to watch. If you like action movies, this is one to watch."

50 18% | Man of Steel (2013) - Rated 03 Sep 2022
"A nice retelling of the Superman origin story but then continues with such a gloomy guts Superman that you cannot believe they went with this. There's no joy or warmth to anything in this movie and that sucks. It's an interesting take but a poor one that Superman has yet to overcome."

94 84% | The Nice Guys (2016) - Rated 03 Sep 2022
"Perhaps one of the last best comedies to make you laugh shown on a big screen. Lots to love here, good characters, lots of fun action, good humour... It's just a fantastic movie that we don't get much of these days."

95 90% | Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998) - Rated 03 Sep 2022
"A fantastic British comedy jam packed full of wit, humour and the kind of comedy that'll make you laugh at the absurdity the characters get into whilst remaining well written and directed and without getting into absurd or wacky territory."

61 25% | Spy (2015) - Rated 03 Sep 2022
"A relatively okay movie buoyed by Jason Statham's performance of his character pretending that he's awesome."

75 58% | The Brothers Grimsby (2016) - Rated 03 Sep 2022
"It's a movie of comedy past where you can do silly and gross things and people don't stick up their noses and prefer their humour highbrow. If You're down for a silly but funny spy movie, you'll like this quite a bit."

35 15% | Captain Marvel (2019) - Rated 03 Sep 2022
"Captain "I'm always right" Marvel is a tough one. The casting is all good but here the writing and general Marvel genericness really hinders the movie. It doesn't help that Carol isn't a very likeable hero as she is always right and never admits failure. Her supporting cast try hard to corral that but fail as the writing ensures she's never wrong. It makes for an obnoxious heroine which is a shame as she will be compared to the glorious Wonder Woman unfairly."

5 2% | Wonder Woman 1984 (2020) - Rated 03 Sep 2022
"WW2 takes everything about the 1st movie (excepting WW & Pine) and makes a truly horrible movie. It's boring and messes up the best regarded character from Snyder's whole ensemble. What's funny is that director Patty Jenkins was ALSO a writer here and my gosh, never let her near a pen again. There's nothing redeemable about the movie which is a remarkable achievement as that first movie's only real foible was the wet fart of a final battle. This entire thing is a wet fart...with residue."

65 31% | Justice League (2017) - Rated 03 Sep 2022
"I quite liked the movie. In an attempt to shed original DC director Zack Snyder's impact on the DC movies, this movie has more colour and the characters are more witty compared to the dull miserable characters of before. It's an alright attempt at working with the previously established Snyder characters and making them likeable and getting them to gang up on the threat du jour, Ron Howard aside. However, the Snyder cut is what should be watched. That is a wonderful movie. This is meh."
