Bio: My movie appreciation was informed almost entirely by not being able to watch current movies as a youth but having free reign among older ones and then shortly after college, when I thought I had seen every good movie, latching on to the podcast Filmspotting at episode 12 and never looking back. A now defunct podcast called Reel Reviews gave me so many of my current favorites it's astounding: American Psycho, Kicking and Screaming, and Metropolitan, setting me on my Stillman/Baumbach path as well as making me re-watch and appreciate Swingers and exposing me to The Wages of Fear.
