"A concert film interspersed with excerpts from an interview with James Murphy and footage of the band members dealing with the fact that it's all over. The songs from the concert are great and really reflect what looked to be an amazing atmosphere - 'All My Friends' especially looks berserk. Some of the other clips feel a tad forced but a good film nonetheless."

"A slow burning drama that builds to a gripping final moment. A beautifully shot film."

"A great concept but this film leaves something lacking at the end. Good but not brilliant."

70 50% | Seven Psychopaths (2012) - Rated 06 Sep 2013
"An amusing, self-effacing and, above all, funny comedy that admittedly takes a little too long in tying up its loose ends but does so reasonably successfully. Worth a watch."

"Simply a lovely film. Funny, well-acted and well shot; its influence on modern French cinema is obvious."

65 34% | A Town Called Panic (2009) - Rated 06 Sep 2013
"This is a funny little French animation that's worth a watch and has an interesting style, but really goes on a bit too long with a nonsensical plot and nonexistent characters."

75 68% | Argo (2012) - Rated 27 Aug 2013
"With a first act that juxtaposes the political tensions of late 70's Iran with the farcical plot to remove six hostages who escaped the American embassy when invaded by the Tehran public, this film manages to stay above the level of dull political thriller - and though the second half is largely by-the-books in terms of how it generates suspense, the film is successful, and driven along by a minimalist performance from Affleck and a good supporting cast, especially Arkin and Goodman."

70 50% | Bittersweet Motel (2000) - Rated 23 Aug 2013
"Pretty much exactly what you expected a tour movie about Phish to be like. Some live clips, a handful of pretty amusing backstage moments, and a lot of interviews with stoned Phish-heads."

80 81% | Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close (2011) - Rated 23 Aug 2013
"There is one moment in this film that didn't ring true with me: the mother's revelation in the final act. But other than that, it is a heart-wrenchingly believable tale of a boy mourning the tragic death of his father. I had tears in my eyes more frequently than I would like to admit. A really good piece of cinema."
