"One of the best Pixar films in years. Charming, creative, well-paced, completely HILARIOUS, and a great Bay Area vibe. Definitely stands up with the original in my mind."

"Some great moments."

"A wonderful tour of the world of backpacking, with an emphasis on the people. Made me want to go out and travel on my own."

"I didn't come into this film expecting much, but it turned out to be truly exceptional. The pacing was a bit slow at times, but the character development was great, the plot was captivating, and the visuals were amazing. I had this in my library for a while, and I was never too much into the Kenshin series, so I was shocked to discover 2/3 through that the dark and violent protagonist was the same bubbly character from the anime! I really love how well he was reinvented here."
11 25% Ghost in the Shell (1995) - Rated 25 Jan 2013
"Great art, great characters, but too short and not dense enough. I was left wanting for closure. I really liked the soundtrack as well as some of the quiet, meditative shots of the environment. It's a shame we don't get those in Western moviemaking very often."

"Lots of thrilling moments. Matt Damon was great; Franka Potente less so. The plot wasn't developed in the best possible way, but was still enjoyable. I wish the government folks had more character development."

"Awesome characterizations -- kept me engaged throughout."
13% Skyfall (2012) - Rated 18 Nov 2012
"A more personal Bond -- less about grand international conspiracies and more about the personalities involved. Unfortunately, I feel the quality of the movie suffers for it: the plot doesn't make all that much sense and feels incomplete, and half the movie is basically Bond playing babysitter."
