A scientist develops a powder that he believes will have the effect of distorting reality for those who take it. To test its effect tries it out on his assistant, a dog, himself and two young couples.

Unbeknownst to Léonce, Suzanne allows Gaumont to use their villa garden for a day of filming. Léonce suspects infidelity when he returns home early to find an actor’s forgotten pair of suspenders. Suzanne and Léonce try to sell this comedic situation back to Gaumont.

Leonce Perret brings home a present for wife Suzanne Grandais. It turns out to be point guards for hat pins. Hat pins with such guards have been outlawed. She is disappointed and refuses to use them. When Leonce seem to get a pin prick in her eye, she is upset. When she discovers he is faking, she decides on her own revenge.
