Years ago, the thirty-four Super Sentai gave up their powers to defeat Space Empire Zangyack. Now, a band of pirates calling themselves Gokaiger has the powers of the Sentai in their hands - and the guardian angels known as Tensou Sentai Goseiger want them back! But when the most ancient enemy of the Super Sentai is resurrected by hatred, 35 teams and 199 heroes will have to battle them together!

The film begins with the Gokai Galleon being chased by the Super Dimensional Highspeed Ship Dolgiran before crashing into the bay. The Gokaigers (sans Gai, who was sent off to buy dinner for them before this incident) confront the legendary Space Sheriff Gavan, who quickly defeats and apprehends them - despite their protests that the Special Police Dekaranger cleared them of all charges claimed by the Space Empire Zangyack. A group of young pirates come from space to Earth to obtain the "Greatest Treasure in the Universe" (??????? Uchû Saidai no Otakara), which can only be acquired after obtaining the "Greater Powers" of the different 34 Super Sentai Teams. However, they end up facing the Space Empire Zangyack, whose earlier invasion forces were wiped out by the 34 Sentai groups long ago before a new invasion force is established under Commander Warz Gill, the emperor's son.
