The Sasaki household is unusual. Shotaro is a full-time house husband and his wife Minako is a busy career woman. It is unusual in another way as well. Minako is carrying on an affair and the [others] find out about it. Everyone is angry with everyone else and Minako leaves. But this solves nothing. Everything is eventually solved by a Brahms two-piano piece that Minako and her daughter have been practicing. They decide to go on with their recital and there, in the audience, are father and son.
