The beautiful princess Lola is driven from his homeland Pelikanien where one of her relatives on subtle way has usurped power. We see her now as Revy-theater celebrated primadonna, each evening awakens the audience's tumultuous enthusiasm. But the princess, however, his most devoted admirers behind the ramp. The young theater doctor Ove Helmer love her and our two old friends lighthouse and Bivognen that function respectively as prompter and makeup artist cover her with the warmest affection.

Lilian, little daughter of Countess Barri, and Ralph, son of the estate manager, are playing in the groves when Michael, a wandering gypsy, comes upon them. The antics of his monkey amuse the children. They beg the Countess to accompany them to the gypsy camp to see Michael's other pets. The Countess, angered when the gypsy's wife abuses her sick child, orders the wayfarers from her grounds. At dawn Lilian, thinking of the fascinating monkey, climbs from her crib and runs to the camp.

The poor shipwright’s daughter Hulda i dating the equally poor clerk Aage. One day she meets theatre manager Winckler who makes her a famous varieté star. Despite her many new suitors, Hulda still only has eyes for Aage. But, as Hulda proclaims, she cannot marry an impoverished clerk. The burning desire for Hulda pushes Aage to desperate measures.

One day, a pair of magical galoshes appear in the big city, which have the power to grant the wishes of anyone who wears them. The galoshes find their way to many wearers from all walks of life, who all learn an important lesson about being content with what they have.

Director Jessen lives with his sons Fritz and Jørgen in a country house on the coast of Øresund. One day, Jessen announces that his boss is coming to visit from Australia, and that he will bring along his daughter, Alice. Jessen further proclaims that he wants one of his sons to marry Alice. Full of prejudice against Australians, Fritz and Jørgen end up drawing lots to determine who must accept this terrible fate.

A love triangle is building up to a drama in and around the old mill. The wealthy and self-absorbed Per Persson is in love with the miller’s beautiful daughter, Grethe, whose heart, however, belongs to the miller’s apprentice. To Persson’s great frustration, Grethe would never dream of choosing wealth over love, so Persson instead – and unsuccessfully – tries to get rid of his rival in all sorts of nefarious ways.

Nikolajsen is shocked by the news that he has an adult daughter who lives in Jutland – where wild wolves wander! His friends – the baker, the butcher, the tailor and the shoemaker – are entranced by the honour and glory they would gain by venturing forth and exterminating the feral wolves. Unfortunately for their chances of success, Nikolajsen and Co. decide to hire Pat and Patachon as their hunting guides. And so the wolf hunters will probably end up chasing their own tails.

The pilot Vidart and his good friend Aubert are competing against each other in an aviation contest. When Vidart gets in the claws of a loan shark, winning the prize suddenly becomes a necessity. But Aubert is a tough opponent who might actually win. Unexpectedly, Vidart’s sister Else comes to her brother’s rescue.

When Gregoire and Lola go on a beach holiday to the idyllic Skagen, they don’t know yet that the trip will be the end of their marriage. Gregoire may be wealthy, but he is many years older and several pounds heavier than his young wife, whose beauty makes all the male holiday guests turn their necks. Baron Plessen falls in love with Lola, and she quickly becomes fond of the idea of replacing her corpulent husband with a handsome nobleman. Together, they plan to push Gregoire out of the picture.
