That The Girl in the Case is not to be taken seriously is demonstrated in the scene wherein its dignified leading man Edmund Lowe dons a gaudy zoot suit. Lowe is cast as lawyer William Warner, who also happens to be an expert lock-picker. Both his legal and illegal talents are pressed into service when Tommy Rockwood (Robert Scott) hires Warner to open an old chest. This particular prop turns out to be a veritable Pandora's Box, unleashing an onslaught of intrigue, espionage, and murder. (allmovie.com)

Pine-Thomas Productions' High Powered is the mixture as before, a two-fisted adventure tale with a melodramatic "tortured hero" subtext. High-rigger Tim Scott (Robert Lowery) can't get over the fact that his brother died in an on-the-job wiring mishap. Nor does Rod Farrell (Roger Pryor), who holds Tim responsible for the fatal accident, intend to let him get over it. Produced by Ken Murray strictly as a vehicle for Laurie Anders, his curvy protégé from his television show and billed above the title and first billed in the cast as Laurie ("I-like-the-wide-open-spaces") Anders, which was her catch-line phrase and how she was introduced and known. This is neither a comedy, satire or parody---missing badly on all attempts at such---and isn't much of a western either, even by bottom-of-the-barrel B-standards. (imdb)

He lives happily with his new family. Jenny comes back with a searching party, and Zamba, the gorilla mother, is determined to protect Tommy from his real mother.

When Hayes' gang kill Jim Carter, Dodie Cameron finds his money and hides it. Failing to find the money and seeing Dodie Cameron nearby, the gang chases her only to be run off by Steve Randall. When they kidnap her to get her to talk, Steve breaks that up. But just as Steve is then recovering the money she hid, he is captured and arrested for the murder. (imdb)

Utilizing a plot that Columbia had used twice before with Buck Jones and again with Charles Starrett, this version shifts the state of the Rangers from Texas to Arizona, where Ranger Rod Saunders is killed by a band of outlaws and his brother Ranger Lucky Saunders swears to avenge his death. The outlaws, led secretly by town businessman Anse Rankin, have been terrorizing the town and the citizens.

FBI Agent Steve Blair finds himself caught up in Cold War espionage when he boards a plane heading west. Some sensitive papers have disappeared and Steve must keep tabs on a suspect without giving himself away.

Ex-flyer Kenneth Crandall is surprised by his boss in an Australian nightclub, while attempting a robbery. A lightweight, thin-as-air b-comedy in which movies' first Dagwood Bumstead (Arthur Lake) and its first Batman (Lewis Wison) team up with Dick Haymes lesser-know kid brother (Bob Haymes) as three merchant marines on shore leave in Hollywood. Two of the three buddies break off their engagements after being charmed by a couple of starlets, played by the one-and-done Jane/June Lawrence and future double-Oscar winner Shelly Winters, billed as Shelly Winter.

A young man and his trusty dog go up against a gang of crooks that are building a dam out of shoddy materials, which could collapse and flood the entire valley.

Daredevil flyer David flirts with a waitress. An orphan accidentally takes off in a biplane requiring an aerial rescue. The villain reports a fake robbery and turns the orphan in to welfare workers, but a loyal dog saves the day.

"Pop" Hodges runs an equipment store and a fishing boat as blinds for a gold-smuggling operation, unknown to his niece, Susan Clarke who is engaged to deep-sea diver Mike Sloan. Mike knocks out a member of the fishing-boat crew who is trying to steal gold from Hodges' storeroom. Hodges kills the man and convinces Mike he did it in the fight. Mike replaces the dead man on Hodges' boat and postpones his marriage to Susan.
