Crimea. Sea shore. The old organ-grinder, the young acrobat Seryozha and their devoted friend the poodle Artaud earn money with their unpretentious performances in front of summer residents. At one of the rich dachas they are offered to sell a poodle. The old organ-grinder refuses; he cannot part with his friend. Then the dog is kidnapped.
