A liberaly free and gender equal Finnish mother fell in love with a macho patriarchal Italian guy in happy 70's. A couple lives in a Finnish commune but as soon as they've got two daughters they move to Sicily, Italy where a free spirited, young woman is guarded by strict family ties.
