Vijayan V. Nair

Haridas (Mammootty), a Delhi-based private detective, comes to his birth place of Paleri in North Kerala, with his mistress & crime analyst Sarayu (Gowri Munjal), to investigate the rape & murder of Manikyam (Maithili), an incident which happened more than 50 years ago, on Haridas's birthday. Although everyone suspected of the crime, including the prime suspect, ruthless landlord Ahmed Haji (Mammootty), were long dead, Haridas takes up the case as he also happened to be Haiji's illicit son.

Rasheed (Lal), an NRI, comes to his hometown Kozhikode on vacation, & after a night of drinking with his friends, accosts a prostitute, Thankam (Sajitha Madathil), with the help of his autorickshaw driver friend Suran (Vinay Forrt). Not able to find a hotel to do the "deed", Suran locks them up in an empty store space next to Rasheed's house, with the promise to come back later to pick them up. However, Suran gets picked up by the cops for DUI, leaving Rasheed & Thankam to fend for themselves.

Set in a remote 1980s Oriya village, a Malayali Christian police constable, Christudas (Unni Mukundan), falls in love with an Oriya girl, Suneyi (Sanika Nambiar), whom he was assigned to protect. Hanging over Suneyi's head was the fear of being inducted as a "Devadasi" (a glorified whore) because of some age-old custom of the land, where she would be a concubine to the rich priest & bigwig in the village, Kamadeva Pradhan (Nigel Akkara). Christudas & Suneyi decide to elope to escape the fate.

4 friends - Rejimon (Mahesh), Samkutty (Musthafa), Byon (Rasheed) & Joshi (Vijeesh) - meet after a long time on the eve of Rejimon's wedding & reminisce about their school days. That night they get drunk, & get separated with each of them having their own adventure - Rejimon meets his ex-flame Sneha (Jyothi Krishna), & Samkutty his, Shahina (Pooja). Meanwhile, Rasheed runs into the ghost of their schoolmate Manu Antony (Justin John) & Joshi visits their school teacher & mentor Rosli (Sukanya).

Neighbors & childhood friends Appukuttan (Byon) & Thanka (Ashwati Lal) grow up together falling in love. However, they face stiff opposition from Appukuttan's family on account of Thanka's family being poor. Forced to leave Appukuttan, Thanka decamps with local moonshiner Velu (Thirumurugan), who had an eye on Thanka, but whom she hated, to a far off place. However, Appukuttan & Thanka continues to pine for each other.
