Guna (Kamal Hasan) is a mentally challenged person who, while undergoing treatment in a mental asylum, gets told by someone in the asylum about a fictitious character named Abirami. Guna starts obsessing with the idea of finding Abirami and marrying her. After coming out of the asylum, he believes the story to be true and searches for his Abirami.
