Santa and his helpers discover a mysterious letter sent by a little boy. The letter has a drawing of the boy's christmas wish but neither Santa nor his elves seem to know what the drawing means. While Santa and his friends try to figure out the meaning of the drawing, strange things start to occur in the village of Santa Claus. It is almost like someone is trying to sabotage Christmas. Risto lives with his aunt Rauha, but one day Rauha breaks her leg and her very strict cousin Elvi has move to in as a result to take care of the two till Rauha gets better. Risto however, doesn't get along with her very well.

Aunt Rauha's cousin Elvi works at a resort in an island where Risto goes on a vacation with his best friend Nelli. On the island, they meet a girl named Venla whom Nelli starts admiring, endagering her friendship with Risto.
