Uncle Eric is a great child psychologist and has even written a book about raising children, there is only one problem - he is single and has never been with children before! So when his sister and husband goes away on holiday, he volunteers to take care of their 6 children - and of course try to keep hold of them following closely the rules of his book! And of course it all goes wrong, because children in reality, and certainly not his sisters, doesn't behave like in his book...

The kids are at it again, this time deciding they want to join their uncle (Axel Strøbye) on his and his new wife's honeymoon. The newlyweds are, however, not aware that the kids are tagging along in the camper behind them, and when they finally do find out, they are already in Austria.

The kids go on summer vacation. Their parents go to Paris to celebrate their anniversary, and once again Uncle Eric will have to step in and look after the kids. Or are they looking after him?

It is Pusle's birthday, and from South America Uncle Eric sends her an amulet that can fulfill all of her wishes! Soon she wishes for the craziest things; an elephant in the living room being one of them!

Martin is grandson and one-year-old to Næsbygaard, where he lives with his grandfather. The boy associates a close friendship with Elise, who lives with his father-in-law, the city's smith, known as a reputable and religious man. Elise does, however, argue that Martin's grandfather is malicious and makes shady business with the manager of Næsbygaard.
